This wine is made using grapes from the home ranch of owners Melissa and Ken Moholt-Siebert, which was planted by Ken’s grandfather Henry Siebert. The vineyard was wiped out in the 2017 wildfires (along with Melissa and Ken’s house, barn, and everything they owned at the home vineyard (But most wine in barrel and wine in bottle was stored off-site, thankfully).
Melissa and Ken are now in the long and difficult process of replanting their vineyard and beginning to rebuild their lives. So this wine is extra-special, because there will be several years when it will not be available. Buying it is an opportunity to support Melissa and Ken while enjoying some very special single-vineyard Russian River Valley Pinot noir.
We are offering a bottle each of three different vintages, chosen to showcase the what this vineyard has produced over the 10 years we’ve been making a single-vineyard Pinot from it.
