Rebuilding the Round Barn

Shortly after the 2017 Tubbs Fire, architect and grapegrower Ken Moholt-Siebert started a replica of the Fountaingrove Round Barn on his farm, just north of the original location. For some years he worked on it quietly, but as the roof trusses went up it became hard to keep quiet, and the news of his project broke in November 2025, with an article in the Press Democrat by writer Austin Murphy and photojournalist Kent Porter.

What are the remaining steps?

Ken completed the structural frame in February, 2026. The next steps are:

  1. Roof Panels and Roof at eaves (Summer 2026)
  2. Wall Panels, and skirt at basement level
  3. Sign & Cupola

We are currently raising money to put a roof on the barn.

As of March 15 2026, we have raised $50,000, which is enough to

pay for the roofer to finish the roof, once Ken buys and installs the panels.

So we are looking for sponsors to buy roof panels.
